Samuel B. Cummins/Joseph Cummins VA, TN, IN

I am looking for definitive proof that Samuel Cummins, b. 1783 in Virginia is the father of Joseph Cummins, b. 1818/20 in VA. The family appears to have moved from VA to Anderson county TN in about 1827 or 28. Then, they appeared in Indiana in 1834.

The only ties I have are that Samuel had sons John, George, and Mahlon. Joseph Cummins named his sons Samuel B, John R., George, and Mahlon as well. Joseph was in Greene county in 1850, and Samuel and family were in Sullivan county, which adjoins Greene co.

There was also a 64 year old Martha Cummins who lived with either her son Samuel, or "Old Samuel's" son. The order of the children of Old Samuel, if I am right, COULD be:

Joseph, b. 1820
Samuel B, b. 1822
Mariah, b. 1822
Mahlon, b. 1825
John, b. 1827
Sampson, b. 1828
George, b. 1832,
James, b. 1834
Matilda b. 1842

Samuel's wife was listed as Kezia, born in TN, and she was 14 years younger than he, so I'm guessing she is wife #2.

Any help would be appreciated.
