We may or may not have a family in common. Do you know where your Cummins family lived in Hamilton Co. OH? My ancestor James Cummins was born 1789 probably in KY (so say his kids in later census). He was in Warren Co. OH in 1810 when he md. Sarah Nutt. Later lived in Hamilton County, OH (Crosby township) & left there in 1839 for Iowa where he died 1850. He had a brother named John Cummins who testified as to James' legal age at time of James marriage to Sarah. Have no idea what happened to this John Cummins. Don't know their parents' names or where in KY James was born. I suspect KY was really VA at that time. If you think we might have a connection, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks, Joanne
