Cummins and Davidson marriage?

I am looking for a connection with the Cummins family -- through my ggggrandfather, John Davidson. John was born in Pennsylvania in 1761. He moved with his family to South Carolina before the Revolution. He fought in the Revolution and was injured at the Battle of Cowpens. Later he moved to Georgia. He and his wife had six children who were born in Georgia. He died in Jasper County, GA in 1856 -- age 95. Two of John's children named a child Cummins. The name Cummins continued to other generations. I have never found the name of John Davidson's wife nor his mother. I am exploring the possibility that his wife or mother could have been a Cummins. I would love to hear from you, if you have a Davidson connected to a Cummins. Thanks!!
