Robert, I am researching the Dennis family of Giles Co VA. The 1880 census of Monroe Co WV has a Mrs. Eliza Dennis living with Gordon Cummings and listed as his daughter. The 1880 census says Elizabeth is 42 and her daughter Sarah 20. I would think Eliza married ca 1860 or before. Would you have any info on the Dennis who married this Elizabeth. Elizabeth is living with her daughter Sarah Rodgers on the 1900 census of Monroe.
