I have new information on Nathaniel Cummings b. 6 Sep 1797 in Thetford VT. He & his wife Lucy's children were: Abel, Paschal (mine), Marvel, Naomi, George, Alice & Charles. In the 1840 Census he & Lucy were living in Chautauquay Chautauquay Co NY. In 1850 Nathaniel was living with his brother Thayer in the same area. Wife Lucy had divorced him and on 17 Aug 1845 married Isaac Cleveland (the father of Paschal's wife Eunice Blodgett Cleveland.) In 1860 they were living in Ashland OH with her son Marvel. In 1860 Nathaniel was living in the Chautauquay poor house. All I can read on the census is that he was listed as a lunatic. Have no idea when he died but assume it was in the instution.
