My grandfather Daniel Cumming left Edinburgh, Scotland and came over to Canada in steerage with my grandmother Elizabeth Cumming. They wound up in Burnaby, British Columbia. My grandfather was born in 1887 and died in 1962. They named their 3 boys John, Thomas and David, my brother's name is John as was every first born son in the Cumming family dating way back. My grandmother was Elzabeth Thomas from County Cork in Ireland, becoming Elizabeth Cumming......does this make any connections?
