I'm Joseph Michael Cumbee, son of Duke Hill Cumbee Jr. from Stroud Alabama. His father (Duke Hill Cumbee Sr. born Nov 16 1902) was married to Jewel Holiday (born 1909, still living). His father was William J Cumbee/Cumbie (Name changed here - born Oct 4, 1867 - died Jan 31 1939). His parents were John Cumbie (born Aug 2 1826)and CC Spurlin (born Jan 20 1829). They were married on Dec 26 1847). That's all I have at this point. there is a story that three Cumbie brother came down from South Carolina to Chambers county, Alabama. Our family has lived in Alabama, until my grandfather (Duke Hill Sr.) move just outside LaGrange, GA.

Does any of this link to anything you have?
