Hello, I know this is a long shot that you will even reply to this message. Your posting is abt.7 years old. I may have some information on your Winney Cumberland listed as a child of William Cumberland. I would like to get some information from you if you have more as I am researching a Jane Cumberland married to Edward McBay in Lincoln Co. Tennessee on January 15, 1842 according to the marriage records of LCTN. Jane's parents are unknown to me and her birth date should be around 1821 as she gave her age as 29 in the 1850 Lincoln County,Tennessee census report where she is found living in the household of her husband Edward with their two small children George 6 and Samuel 4. I noticed that the family of William Cumberland had a son named George. Maybe she named her son George after this George? The information I have on Winney is that there is a Winney age 21 and James Cumberland age 28 found in the Lincoln County, Tennessee 1850 Census report living in the house of John C. Webb and wife Margaret age 40, this would put her about the same age of Margaret that is found in your list of William Cumberland's children. Margaret, Winney and James are all listed in this census as being born in S.C. as is my Jane Cumberland in the household with her husband who is living next door to John and Margaret Webb.Their children have a similiar nameing of the siblings of Margaret Cumberland as well, their names are: Elizabeth, Sarah, James P., Goerge M.D., Margaret T. I know there is not a Jane living in this household with William but there is a Sarah c1818 and a Mary c1825 and either names could be the first name of my Jane Cumberland c1821 and the ages are about the same. Let me know what you think if you get this posting. I am also going to repost it on the latest page of this forum for others in hopes that someone can help me as well.
