To whom ever may know the origins of the surname cumberbatch,

We came across this site entirely by chance and we were most intrigued by what appears to be the German/Jewish origins (Comberbach) of what we had previously thought to be British name. We welcome further insight from anyone who knows the true origins of the surname Cumberbatch.
