Hi Lesley (again !)
This may be of some use to you re: the Perkins connection.
Going back to Louisa Parker who married William Culverwell in Cardiff Registry Office on 24/7/1882; Louisa's eldest sister, Eliza (born.c.1848)married a James Perkins also from Blackwood at Bedwellty in the September Qtr of 1871.
I'm pretty convinced that this is the reason for seeing Perkins family members associated with the Culverwells at The Beaufort Arms in Bridgwater. They would have been nephews and nieces to William Cul~.
I too have come across this Annie Culverwell married to a Perkins from Blackwood and have been trying to find the link back to my Cul~'s for some time. (there must be one, I'm sure !! ??).
There seems to have been a fair amount of movement of the Cul~'s from Somerset to Wales and back again.
Just out of a point of interest, I've come to associate Blackwood as being part of the general area of Bedwellty as the 2 seem to be inseperable otherwise.
Hope this helps and doesn't cloud the issues too much.
Should I find more..............etc, etc.
Best regards,
Mark.
