The source of the William S. Hall name has come from the Internet on Marion GenWeb under the marriage listings. They have him down as William S. Hall. I'm currently in the process of trying to find the original document to see where their information came from. I've written to the people who run the site.

On the LDS site he's listed as Milton Sandridge Hall (think I told you a different middle name earlier). But my great Aunt Marg said it was Milton Saunders Hall. Although, I still haven't seen it in any documents -other than my old Covey / Hall letter.

I had a look at all of the Hall people in the Marion area and all the neighbouring counties. I didn't see anything that jumped out at me, but will go back and look again. There were eleven Hall boys (no girls) and I have only found seven of them. I was wondering if there were any others who might have been in this area. I think I saw one who might be from Kentucky, but all of the Hall boys were born in Virginia. I'm not really sure of the county in VA, but do know they were in the Albermarle area before they moved to KY in 1829.

Will go back and look at all the Halls again.
