This weekend I was in Leyland with my girlfriends parents, and as usual her father and I (known as Burke and Hare by my girlfriend) decided to have a wander round a few graveyards to see what we could find.Croston (St. Michael & All Angels) Very pretty village and nice churchyard. Found two graves, the first in the graveyard over the river and the second in the old part next to the church. The Leyland graves appear as part of Helen Culshaws family tree. If anybody lays claim to the other families or knows any more info. please let me know so I can update my database. The final remark is a plea, we are still looking for the last resting place of Thurston Culshaw born 21st Dec. 1860 in Tarlescough Moss (wife was Mary Alice Dawson, married 2nd Jan 1886 Rufford). This is my girlfriends Great Grandfather, and according to family discussion (Uncle Clarence Culshaw) he was alive and living in Leyland in the early 1920's. If any body knows of or sees and appropriate grave please let me know. Cheers, John Markham Newbury, Berkshire
