Dear Graeme, I have been looking at the Culshaw board & wondered if you had come across the following Culshaws, posibly in the Lathom area. So far have got back to my greatx3 grandfather, Thomas Culshaw (father Nathan Culshaw)who married Mary Rigby in 1851 at Halsall, first son Nathan born in Lydiate in Nov. 1851.
So far not found Thomas in any censuses but there are possible matches for him on the IGI (although patron submitted). A thomas Culshaw christ. 30th June 1822 Ormskirk,father Nathan Culshaw, mother Mary. Other siblings are Dorothy in 1812, Ann in 1813, Jojn in 1816, Nathan in 1818. Possible marriage for Nathan senior is Nathan Culshaw & Mary Hodkinson in Wigan & a possible christening in Sept 1794 in Ormskirk, father Thomas Culshaw & mother Elizabeth.
Have been in touch with somebody regarding Dorothy Culshaw, their Dorothy Culshaw was born in Lathom.
Do you know of any Culshaws in the Lathom area?
