Richard, Martha Culpepper's husband, Georgia in 1850's was William. My information says that Joel Culpepper, of Chipley, Ga., now Pine Mtn, Ga. was the son of William, whose wife was Martha. William and Martha married in 1790, Richmond, Ga. The father of this William was another William whose wife was Sarah. They married in 1748. This William, father of the Wm. husband of Martha, was born 1725and died 1808. Sarah, mother of William who was husband of Martha, was born 1730 , no death date. I would like to hear from you if you are a descendant of these. My great gr'father was John Wesley Lankford who married Sarah Jane Culpepper, from Chipley, Ga. She and two sons were killed in a tornado and are buried in the Bethany Church Cemetary in Pine Mtn., Ga.
