Ky, Your GG-Grandfather, George Washington Culp, is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Sand Springs, OK near my parents,Cecil and Mattie Culp, although to my knowledge, he is not related. I have been trying to find out who he is. He apparently died in 1911 and was buried in the old Sand Springs cemetery. When Woodland was opened in 1914, the graves in the old cemetery were moved to the new one. His headstone says he served in the 14th Iowa Cavalry which is how I pulled him up on the internet. He was born in NY and enlisted in Hillsboro at the age of 34. Don Fischer, who works at the cemetery and who is an old family friend of mine, would like to know as much as possible about George as he is writing histories on the old graves. He did tell me that the grave site was donated by a lady whose name I have forgotten at the moment. He did not know if she was related or not. I can get her name for you. My gg-grandfather was also George Washington Culp but he is buried in Doniphan County, KS. I am anxious to hear from you. Jerri skydiver@rectec.net
