I was a child in Culp Community, Hill County, Texas in the 1930s'. None of us from that place and time can find how the community was named. So often communities were named for pioneer families. Just wonder if this may be the case. Some early families were Myers, Farquahars, Surginers, Yates(a community nearby was named for this family), Jones, Reeds. Joan
