I've "rescued" an old photograph which I believe belongs to the CULP Family. The photograph is in a postcard format so it was probably taken in the early 1900's. The photograph is of a boy probably 5 years old and on the back is the name Roy CULP, West Allis, Wisconsin. There is also a street address but something glued over the back has covered the address. In addition to those notes the words "bust painting" also appears on the back of the photograph leading me to believe that the photograph might have been used to make a larger photo painting of the child. The postcard wasn't posted but I'm guessing this is either a photo of Roy or a relative. I'd hoped to find someone from Roy's family so that this wonderful old photo could be returned to the care of family, however, I was not successful so I am passing the photograph along to the Milwaukee Co. Genealogical Society in hopes that they might be able to locate the family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact them.
