From Avery Kolb records--
Josiah (that went to Texax) Culp was the 11th child of Benjamin Culp b. 1811 m. Martha Ferguson b. 1813. Josiah m. Adeline Proctor. Benjamin Culp was the son of Henry Culp b. 1785 ( I think this is an error), fifth son of Benjamin Culp, Sr. See Reliques of the Rives by James Rives Childs, J. P. Bell Co,
Lynchburg, VA 1929 and other sources (per Mr. Kolb). He also mentions that a Josiah Culp b. 1819 m. Rachel Eaton and that they were ancestors of Oveta Culp Hobby.

If the above note fits, I would like to know more about his descendants which apparently your husband is one. Thanks.
