Dear Fellow Kolb /Kulp /Culp Researchers: Would any Kolb researchers be researching the family(s) of Johann Christian KOLB, who sailed from Europe, aboard the ship “Roland” and set foot at the Port of Philadelphia on September 29, 1753? I am attempting to tie-in some of his family members, to several KOLB/KULP/CULP families, who may have migrated from Pennsylvania to Ontario, following the American Revolution. Any assistance /or dialogue on this family would be greatly appreciated! QUERY: Was Johann Christian KOLB married or single when he arrived at Philadelphia? If he was married, did the couple have any issue, when they made their voyage to Philadelphia aboard the “Roland”? Johann Christian KOLB died at Rapho Township, Lancaster County, PA in 1774. Following are the (known) names of the children of Johann Christian and Magdalene KOLB, of Lancaster County, PA: Christian, Barbara, Michael, Henry, John, Peter, Magdalena, Maria and Jacob. (Christian ‘may”(?) have been a son of a former marriage) QUERY: Has anyone traced the marriages or any additional information as pertains to the children of the above-noted children of Johann Christian and Magdalene KOLB?? I am particularly interested in acquiring a little info on Christian KOLB - whom I presume was the eldest child of Johann Christian KOLB. Any thoughts or discussion on this family would be greatly appreciated. Sincerest Best Regards, ==================
