Dear John, I am thrilled to get the information you sent. Very interesting reading... history of how our ancestors had only a horse and then moved complete family of 15 with wagon and horses. I found some of my family on rafts traveling down Ohio River settling in KY with about 1,000 acres. Another Catherine Funk's daughter Marilda Adaline in 1883 was in a lawsuit over husband's death (we are investigating as it was listed in Crimnal Court case) and she wasn't allowed land, not sure if she ever got it, she but got immediate assets of: l cow, 1 blind mare, buggy, bed, things like this.. just pitiful..
