Thank you for the information Jim. That would be my ancestor, Thomas Cullen.
You had mentioned the rebellion of 98. What was that and why did it cause people to leave Ireland? My great(2) grandmother would have been 1/2 Irish through her father who was a Cullen and 1/2 Scottish through her mother who was a Crawford. Given this information I can now say that three of my four grandparents would be of partial Irish ancestry.
