Carol, Thank you for your reply. My gr. grandfather,John Joseph Cullen, was living about a mile across the county border in Co. Leitrim in the 1860s. when his wife died about 1883 (she was a Gilhooly) he moved to Edinburgh with part of his family. When he died his certificate listed his parents as Patrick Cullen and Annie Cullen (maiden name). His townland was Moneenreave. I found two Patricks within a mile of his townland. One in Srabragan and the other in Tents. There was also an Annie Cullen who died from Srabragan. When John Cullen moved he left two older daughters,Mary and Catherine, behind in Moneenreave. My grfather was only one to move to US. His name was also John Joseph Cullen. There doesn't seem to be a connection. Frank
