My name is Thomas Joseph McKenna and I was born in St. Louis, Mo., USA on 7/15/1934. My father’s name was
John Frances McKenna born in St. Louis 5/22/1902, died 3/23/1962 Burbank, Ca. and my mother was Helen C.
McKenna (Moore) born in St. Louis, Mo., USA 8/22/1903, died 2/21/1984 in Naperville, Ill. Frank Xavier McKenna
was my grandfather born in St. Louis, Mo. USA 3/1869 and my grandmother was Margaret McCann born in Ireland
6/1877. I believe my ancestors came from Sligo and Armagh counties in Ireland. My great grandfather was John
McKenna born in Ireland 1830 and he married Katherine Cullen born in Ireland 1837( her brother Francis Cullen born in
Ireland 1840). They had the following children: Patrick- 1856 St. Louis; Mary- 1858 St.Louis; Bridget-1861 St.Louis;
John 1865 St.Louis;Francis X. 1869 St.Louis; Joseph 1873 St. Louis; John E. 1877 St.Louis. My great grandfather on
my grandmother’s side was Martin McCann born Ireland 11/1846 and married Mary ? born in Ireland 5/1856. They had
the following children: John 4/1872 in Ireland; Michael 6/1875 in Ireland; Thomas 11/1879 in Ireland; Margaret 6/1877
in Ireland; Cecilia 1887 in St. Louis. The McKenna family immigrated to USA around 1856 and the McCann family
