Peacefully, in her 96th year, wife of the late Hugh and mother of the late Marguerite. Deeply regretted by her loving family, Paddy (Bruree, Co.Limerick), Tony (Siobhan), Mary Rose (Sean, Longford), Sean (Nanda, London), Pauline (Mervyn, Cavan), Jacinta (Pat, Dublin), Kathleen (London), Colm (Marian), Martha (Dublin), Phena, Bernadette (Gerry, Dublin), sisters Mary Grey (Shercock, Co.Cavan), Peggy McHugh (Canada), daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her son Colm and Marian's residence, Main Street, until removal on Friday evening at 7.45pm to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Swanlinbar, at 8pm. Funeral mass on Saturday at 11am with burial in St. Naile's Cemetery, Kinawley. Family flowers only, donations, in lieu, to Palliative Care c/o Leydons Funeral Directors. House private from 5pm Friday evening.

Marguerite Bridget Slater
Marguerite Slater passed away peacefully at her home in Austin on Thursday, March 11, 2010 with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 19, 1946 to Kathleen (Maguire) and Hugh Cullen of Swanlinbar, Co. Cavan, Ireland.
Marguerite is missed by her loving husband Scott; son Robert and daughter Renée; by her mother and father in law, Carol and Bob Slater; her sister and brother in law, Anne and Jeff; and by her mother and all her family in Ireland.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home in Austin. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin and will be followed by a reception.
Thank you to all her loving family and friends for their support. The family would like to thank Hospice Austin and the doctors and staff at Texas Oncology Round Rock for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Austin or Assistance League of Austin.
