Hi, Erin! (It's your cousin Frannie's Uncle in Connecticut). I heard indirectly about your quest and found your posting and will try to do anything I canto help, although agreeing with Bernie Cullen's statement about difficulties involved in Irish genealogy. I will poke around a little more to see if I can find anything, but here's one thing that might be promising: a James H. Cullen in Rochester in 1896 who took out an ad looking for a missing relative Christopher Cullen. Do you think this is your GG grandfather? The Search for Missing Friends: Irish Immigrant Advertisements Placed in The Boston Pilot 1831-1920 (Online database: NewEnglandAncestors.org, New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2005), (The Search for Missing Friends: Irish Immigrant Advertisements Placed in The Boston Pilot 1831-1920, edited by Ruth-Ann M. Harris and B. Emer O'Keeffe). [ADVERTISEMENT] 9 May 1896 CHRISTOPHER CULLEN OF CHRISTOPHER CULLEN, who left Rochester, N. Y., for Butte City, Montana, seven years ago. He will hear of something to his advantage by communicating with James H. Cullen, 60 Jones St., Rochester, N. Y.; or any information of his whereabouts will be kindly received by above. Volume VIII: 1877 – 1920 Feel free to email me directly if you want to expedite anything. Otherwise will be in touch. Notify Administrator about this message?
