I am looking for more information on my great great grandfather James Henry Cullen and his family and am having a really hard time finding anything. What I know about him: He was from Ireland (there's a thought in my family that he was from Kildare, but I am not sure where that information came from) He was born in 1862 (plus or minus one year) He arrived sometime before 1886 I believe, as he was naturalized in 1893. He was by himself (or considered himself to be by himself due to a fall out with a brother) when he arrived. He either came through Philadelphia or New York and settled in Rochester, Monroe County, New York (was there by 1891). He was a motorman, so likely worked on the railroad. He had an uncle Andrew, James, and Jack (John maybe?) that we think were on his mother's side based on a letter written by him in 1891 but could have also been Cullens. He married Nora Culhane (99% sure her last name is Culhane, as according to a census in 1900 she was living with a brother and sister by the names of Maragret and Patrick Culhane). He had two children - Marie (1895) and James Joseph Cullen (1897). He died in Rochester, NY on April 18, 1899 (according to a his announcement was in the papers the day after that) of consumption. If anyone has ANY information that may help me, it would be much appreciated! I am so frustrated that I cannot find anything... Notify Administrator about this message?
