I have just launched a new geographic DNA project: "Oriel Septs of Ireland." Because the surname of Mac Collin (Mac Cuilinnn in Gaelic) is listed by historians as belonging to Oriel, and because the surname of Mac Cullen is also Mac Cuilinn in Gaelic, we have chosen to add the surname of Cullen to our list of those eligible to join the project. We are primarily interested in Cullen families who may have come from Co. Monaghan, Fermanagh, Louth Armagh, Tyrone, and south Down in Northern Ireland, the area of the Kingdom of Oriel. If you have already been Y-DNA tested at FTDNA, there will be no additional expense involved in joining the Oriel Project. You are allowed to belong to a geographic project, in addition to your surname project. If you have not been Y-DNA tested, you can both join the Oriel Project, and order a Y-DNA test kit, at our project web site: https://www.familytreedna.com/public/orielsepts By ordering through our project link, you will also be given our group's discounted price. Or, you can just google FTDNA, and do a search on Cullen, and you will find our Oriel_Septs listed there. I do not sell DNA test kits, nor do I make any money from the sale of DNA test kits. I am strictly a volunteer for the Oriel Septs of Ireland DNA Project. Thank you, Mary Becker Group Admin. Notify Administrator about this message?
