(2) From passenger lists published in Correio Mercantil or Jornal de Comércio, Rio de Janeiro:
27/6/1866 A M Cullen arrived Rio de Janeiro on "South America" from New York
1/10/1866 Dr John Cullen & wife sailed Rio de Janeiro on "Winifred" for Baltimore [possibly an English couple, he later had a contract in 1872 with the Government as doctor at Rio Novo ES]
13/4/1878 W N Cullen sailed Rio de Janeiro on "Memnon" for New York
24/9/1890 Eduard Cullin sailed Rio de Janeiro on "Destero" for Montevideo.
(3) There is a table of descendents of Robert & Cynthia Cullen in Judith MacKnight Jones "Soldado Descansa!" (Fraternidade Descendência Americana 1967 & 1998) as well as quite a few refences to the family (and a photo of Robert Cullen)
