In Reply to: Cullen-Pope connection by Robert Pope of 2017

My grandfather, James Monroe Cullins (a derivative of Cullen) born Dec. 18, 1875, was son of Andrew and Deborah Pope Cullins. Deborah was the daughter of Silas and Anna Deal Pope. My great grandfather, Andrew Cullins, was an Irish immigrant. The Popes and the Cullins lived in a place called Osceola, SC. It is now known as Indianland. It is located between York and Lancaster Counties, SC. The Popes were originally from the Newton-Conover-Maiden area before moving to SC in the early to mid-1800's. I am eager to learn any and all that I can about the two families. My grandfather had two sisters, Nannie Cullins Fox and Crease Cullins Perry, and one brother, Andrew Jackson Cullins.
