Back in 2000 there were some messages about Cull family members in Minstead and other parts of Hampshire, England, in the 18th and 19th centuries. George Cull, Gail Ivey and Pauline Welthy, are you folks still out there, or anyone else interested in this connection?
I have a Mary CULL who married James WITT in Minstead on 3 September 1821. James was baptised in South Shoreham, Hampshire, and the couple soon moved to Warminster, Wiltshire, so I guess that they married in Minstead because it was Mary's home. IGI gives me three possible baptisms for her in Minstead:
20 May 1793, d of William & Elizabeth (perhaps William CUFF and Elizabeth Hales or Holes who married on 8 June 1792 at St Mary's, Southampton)
13 April 1800, d of John and Phoebe (John CUFF and Phoebe Dovey married on 26 or 28 November 1799 at Minstead)
15 February 1801, d of William & Ruth (William CUFF and Ruth KARLEY married on 5 October 1800 at Minstead)
Does anyone connect with any of these lines? I can supply information about the descendants of Mary and James WITT if required.
