CULLs of England and Australia

My grandfather, Arthur CULL, was born in Staffordshire, England, about 1881. In 1882 he came to Australia with his father and siblings.

Arthur CULL married May ORAMS and had four children: Arthur CULL (Chappie) born 1907 died 1945: Sidney CULL. Adeline CULL, born 1913 Austrlia, married my father, Frank FLEISCHMANN, died 1993 USA: and Alma CULL, married ROBINS.

Arthur's father, George CULL, born 1831, Southrope, Gloucester, England and Mary Ann THOMPSON, born 1838, Staffordshire, England.

According to 1881 English census George and Mary had the following children, all born in Staffordshire:

Mary A - 1860
Fred - 1862 (He married an Ada unkown, 1881-1882)
Eliza - 1866
George - 1872
Annie - 1875
Gustavus - 1877
Arthur - 1881 (my grandfather)

Although Mary Ann THOMPSON, wife, is mentioned in the 1881 census, she is not listed on the passenger list when the family arrived in Australia in 1882.

George had a business called "George CULL and Sons, Bootmakers". I know so far that Fred was in the business with him and Athur followed in his footsteps.

I would appreciate learning anything more about the family. Especially George's and Ann's ancestors.

Just a side note: I was successful in finding my grandmother May ORAMS relatives in New Zealand. Finding long-lost relatives is one of the great perks of genealogy. Makes up for the frustrations of searching.

Thank you,
Peggy
