Deed to Cat Island

I am a paralegal and love research. I have the Cuevas family tree back to the 1500's. My father wants me to reclaim cat-island as he said that his family has always said that the government wrongfully took the island from the family. I am searching for court records and deeds as there was a lawsuit about this at one time. I have been told that once the island is reclaimed, the only way to keep it safely (without government involvment) is to have some type of security force in place, mafia maybe. Just a thought. Apparently there is an international waters issue.

PS Would love to read the book the Ladner Odyssey if you find it let me know. My family Cuevas' are also part of the Ladners. Am looking for more info on Loeattah (morning star) or Tom Page. He may be "Thomas Jefferson Page" unsure of the relationship to the 3rd President but it is in the right time zone.

Anyone interested in trying to connect with me on the Cuevas family tree as I have it can email me at SBra007@aol.com. E-mail me instead of responding to the geneology tree, it is getting messy. A Would love to see someone start a Cuevas website.
