Bob,
In what Biloxi cemetary is your Pedro Cuevas
buried? What record do you find this Info? There is no Pedro Cuevas in the old section of the the cemetary donated by the Fayard family in the 1800's and it is the oldest in Biloxi. I've spent the last 7 winters here on the Gulf Coast doing research and writing and have found errors in Family Search. My article on Juan de Cuevas was published in 2 MS Coast Historical and geneological publications. He is one of my wife's ancestors. We have copies of official documents concerning Juan. Franklin Cuevas' book on Juan is full of folk lore and myth and it is sometimes quoted as fact by non-historians. My wife's family tree goes back to the 1200's through church and civil documents. We won't print or quote unless we see real documents. The Ladner Odyessy can be ordered from the Biloxi Library. The phone # is 228-374-0330.
Paul
