I was on the SDGenweb page for Jones county, looking for Hall and Kneebs relatives. I looked in the Jones county (Reliance) phone book, 1925, and found the following:
Cue, Sestus, farm, Reliance, ph #28 F 410.
This could be a typo for my grandfathers brother, Festus Cue, whom we visited in the early 1950's. He was then living in Theinsville, WI., a northern suburb of Milwaukee.
The page address is: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/sd/brule/phone/1925.txt and is the only Cue in the book. I suspect that he could be found in the 1925 "South Dakota" state census, which is viewable only at the Historical Society in Pierre.
Festus' father was Lewis R. Cue (1837-1906), buried in Hurley, SD, son of John Cue (1801-18??), buried in Palo, IA, son of William Cue (1781-1865), buried in Palo, IA.
