As the original poster of this article I'd like to update a few things.
FIRST: I agree that Daniel should be excluded from this family collection.
Second: Based on upon the evidence of a marriage record for Nelson's second marraige I accept that evidence as firsthand from Nelson that his parents were in fact Richard and Ann Eggburt. Nelson's 2nd wife Emma Walker widow of Mr. ? Butter's.
Third: Richard of 1871 was married to Ellen ELLIOT as referenced by Terry and others. Thank you for the correction.
Fourth: The Richard who married Martha Miles Probably is teh brother of Nelson and perhaps Alexander's lineage too. I am requesting baptismal records and hope they will answer this question more definatively. Does anyone have a copy of the 1851, 1861, or 1871 Census' for Nelson, Richard, or Alexander already transcribed? If so please post.
Fifth: I did locate a birth record for David Smeltzer, (brother of Charlotte) 25 March 1835 in Charlottesville, Prince Edward Island. I read story of the Journey from Ireland to New York and up into the St. Lawrence River, which included a stay in PEI for at least awhile.
