We have hunted for years for our CUDDY connections. When
you wrote that Samuel was maybe born near Kilkenny before moving to Cork, it struck a chord for me.
Our Michael CUDDY was born in Ireland, probably Laois or Kilkenny. Grandpa's sisters said Michael (their grandfather) was connected to Margaret Cuddy who married Owen Doyle in Paulstown, Kilkenny.
Michael came to the States, married Catherine BARMAN born
1818 in TN. Their first child was born 1839, they were in 1840 census in Clark County, IN, where they lived until their deaths.

I would love to find Michael's relatives.
