Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes, the Cuddy family is difficult to trace. It is interesting that Bristol is right on the state lines of Virginia and Tennessee...my mother and two of her three siblings were born in Bristol, VA while the other was born in Bristol, TN. My grandparents passed away before I started researching the family roots. Thankfully, though, my mom, and extended family members have been able to help piecing the puzzle. The only other information my mom remembers her dad giving was that his father or grandfather were originally from County Cork, Ireland and that the name was spelled Cudahy (pronounced cudd/uh/hee)before coming to the United States. Information only: I live a couple miles from the city of Cudahy, California. Probably a coincidence...just thought I would mention it. Thanks for your help. I look forward to hearing from you. Trina
