Hi Priscilla,

We were thrilled to get your post.
I'm going to search Ladywell Cemetery. And leave some flowers.
Do you have any pictures of the family to go with our business card of Herbert's?
I take it you're not in England unfortunately.
You might be interested to know that my wife Clarissa is an artist(you can google her), though not as famous as your granny. So the painting tradition is carried on at 85 Tyrwhitt Road. We believe the house was built around 1882, so it would have been new when your relatives moved in. The houses at the bottom of the road are older. Most of the house have been split into flats, till 1986 we lived in a flat at 84. We bought the house from a Mrs Hickey who I believed had lived here since 1946. She ran it as a rooming house.
It narrowly escaped in the War, 87 was destroyed by an unexploded bomb!

best wishes

David Porter
