My Great grandmother was Mary Annette Cubitt, eldest daughter of George Cubitt of Catfield Hall. It is from her I am connected to the Cubitts of Norfolk. My 7th great grandfather was Benjamin Cubitt. He is described in the History of the Family Cubitt of Norfolk thus: "Husbandman of Ingham 1668, of Brunstead 1671. This seems certain to be the Benjamin who Robert Cubitt purchased manor of Honing Smallburgh in 1683 and who was buried at Honing 1720. Son-in-law to Robert Atkins 1678. Will dated 1711/2 proved ANF 1720". Ben was Born 1639 and died 1720. He married first Anne Atkins by whom he had 10 children and later to Mary Starr.
Benjamin was also the 5th great grandfather to George Oliver Cubitt.
