With regard to the Cubbins genalogy, my mother has been researching for the past 5 years, we found that the real name is CUBBON, there are many ancestors with the same DOB but the two family names are listed differently. Try looking at the ships lists, there is also a story of a ship coming over and one of the Cubbon/ins women giving birth as the ship became starnded on the rocks. The family are decendents of the ise of man that is for sure. I would be interested in chatting to other people in Australia searching re cubbins/cubbon
