Looking for ancestors of my husband. Benjamin F. born 1850 in Hardy Va.(now WVa). to Benjamin S. and Barbara (?). Siblings of Benjamin F was a Aaron and Mary N.B or V.B. according to 1860(Hardy) census. Barbara must have died in 1860's and on the 1870 census in Marshal Wva, find Benjamin S with a Rebecca and her child Ida McFarland. On the 1850 census find Benjamin S with Barbara and one child Benjamin F (1 month old). Also another Benjamin age 56 believe to be his father all born in Va. Also is a Nancy Nippert who later I find the Sr Benjamin married. Found this Sr Benjamin in 1830 in Shenandoah Va census (I believe). Looking for Benjamin's first wife and children. Also Barbara's parents names. Who are the McFarlands? What happened to Aaron and Mary? Is there any Civil War Record and did they serve Union or Conf. This family could easily serve from Maryland. Any information about this line is appreciated. Benj. F. is my husbands gggf. Benjamin F married Susan Foster (daug of Samuel Foster, also from Grant/Hardy Va./Wva). Benjamin F was father to Mary Cubbage who married Albert A. Sowers (WVa/Maryland). Thank you for any help.
