I too am looking for info on the Spanish/American war. I had serveral family members die in it including my GGGrandparents. Luis Socarras and Emilia Perez. Luis's father was Brother to Carlos Socarras y Acosta who was Carlos Prio Socarras(The prez of Cuba 1944)grandfather.

My Grand father Eduardo Gutierrez y Gonzalez help start the Asturianos Hostpital in Cuba. Maybe you or your family might know something. Alot of my family was from Parres, Llanes, Asturias, Spain
