Pedro Iraola of Manila, Philippines was probably my father's (Eugenio Descalso Yraola same location) first cousin. This Pedro has two daughters and a son, and one from Florida is coming to visit us, here in CA. In 1965 as my family and I visited Spain, I came across Yraola/Iraola as the original location with the same surname starting in the 15th century. One was a magistrate. Another came to the Philippines as a soldado whose unit went with Magellanez (Magellan) in search for a shorter route in search of spices. The five ships stopped at location where they can replenise their provisions. One of them was Mexico that was called Little Spain then. Magellan was killed in Sorsogon, a little island in the Philippines.
