I don't know of the Machados but my Yraola ancestors who fled the country in the 1860's probably knew them. Have you tried the Mormon Library microfilms on Cuban genealogy? You might find them there - is there a Family History Library near you? Actually I copied the index from the microfilm and Machado is listed there (Historias de Familias Cubanas by Francisco Xavier de Santa Cruz,vol.7, p.242). It will start with the first Machados that came to Cuba - worth a try. If you don't live near an LDS library, other major libraries may have it. Good luck!
