FIGUEREDO, CESPEDES, ANGUEYRA

A couple of famous names in Cuban history here: Perucho FIGUEREDO who wrote La Bayamese, the Cuban National Hymn.

Carlos Manuel FIGUEREDO who was the revolutionary president of Cuba during the Ten Years' War from 1868-1878 and whose grandson was president of Cuba in 1933 before being deposed by Bautista.

Basilio ANGUEYRA who was imprisoned by the Spanish in 1870 or so for spying for the revolutionaries but escaped to New York.

Does anybody know anything about these names? I'd like to hear from you if you do.

Thanks,
