Dear Javier: Thank you for your message. I've been told that the name is Basque and that may explain why on a cemetery list from Brooklyn in the 1880's it says that a great-great aunt's birthplace was in France and all the rest of her siblings were born in Cuba. The borders were in dispute I'm told.....
