Shandraneia, My interest is really Tyson. where is the Tyson part of your family from? But you are looking for the other side of your family. But I will share some thoughts with you? > > Are you Black? The reason I ask is that if you are Black your history may be in the island of Nevis, St. Kitts, Barbados or other English speaking Caribbean island. You see Black English speaking Caribbean people migrated to CUba at various times in the early 1900's to work on sugar estates. All the names that you are referring to are English Caribbean names. Therefore you may wish to post your information on all the Caribbean sites on GENFORUM and FamilyHistory.com. and Caribbean Roots web. I have attached the sites for you. > Also post all the family names so that someone will pick it up and my have the family history. For example I have some idea that there are Tysons that went to Cuba from Nevis and are back in Nevis now. Those types of people may have some of your stories. I feel that your family may have come from Barbados to Cuba. > > Number 5 on the list is quite comprehensive. 1. http://www.rootsweb.com/~caribgw/h_u.htm > 2. http://surhelp-bin.rootsweb.com/surindx.pl?site=CARSTCHRI&letter=K > 3. http://www.tc.umn.edu/~terre011/genhome.html#index > 4. www.rootsweb.com/~caribgw/h_u.htm > 5. For this one you should post to all the English speaking islands on this page as your relative may have come from any of these islands and went to Cuba. Then I would search for all those islands on Family History.com and GENFORUM > > > Good Luck and keep me posted at maynard4@candw.ag. > All the best , > Jennifer > http://www.rootsweb.com/~caribgw/islands.html
