Brig Francis from Santiago De Cuba 1838

I am looking for any information regarding the Brig "Francis" leaving Santiago de Cuba 7/17/1838 for Boston, MA. My ancestor was a passenger on this ship. It appears as though he was just returning from a visit to Cuba, although he could have been immigrating to America. Any information on this ship would be greatly appreciated. Also any information regarding what was going on in Cuba in 1835-1838 would also be appreciated. I am trying to determine what would draw a Blacksmith from Boston to travel to Cuba in 1838. My ancestor was Edmund Walleston. Subsequent descendents have the middle name of "Gonzales" although I cannot find a "Gonzales" in our family tree. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
