My name is Pepe Johnson. My great-grandfather was Manuel Gonzalez from Aviles, Asturias, Spain. He immigrated to Cuba before coming here to the USA. I was also told he fought for Cuban independence in the Spanish-American War. I am interested in talking to any other Asturian immigrant families and in finding out about the Cuban soldiers for independence. Thanks.
