Searching for any information on Manuel PADRON m. Ursula GAMBAS both from Cuba.
Fought in Yara Revolution (1868 - 1878).
Captured by Spaninsh on Virginius Oct. 1873.
He was my g-grandfather.
parents unk. Mother's married name may have been ACOSTA. Changed children's surname to PADRON when she divorced her husband, I am told. Children: Manuel Jr (cigar industry), Juan (well-known baseball player in U.S.), Adolfo, Ramiro, and Emilio. All children born in NYC, NY. Lived between Tampa and NY.
